And some MORE good stuff!

Looks like Uncle God is happy with me, and is sending unexpected gifts my way.

We have been looking for a "kadi patta" plant for the longest time now. So long, that I don't even remember since when! I went to the Indian grocery store an hour ago, and walked in to see a whole LOT of very healthy plants. I called hubby right away asking if I should get one (they were a bit expensive...$40). He was a bit like..hmm...$40, what if it doesn't survive. After a bit of coaxing he said, ok, get it if you like.

So there it is...standing about 3 feet tall!

Now I need to find instructions on taking care of it! Don't want it to die!

===================

While I was browsing the aisles in the store, I heard a tiny voice somewhere saying, "Mera Bournvita lena hai". I totally went awwwww......! Bournvita was my favorite too! I drank 3 glasses everyday! Kids still like it, thats total awwwww.... inspiring :)

Whats a Kaddi Patta plant?

I think the kari patta plant requires minimal care - just sunlight and water. And I'm sure it won't die!

@cg!!!! Hey! where'd u go hiding? :)
Kadi patta is "limdo" that we put in kadhi.

@d, I am concerned about the winter...it might get hurt by frost. I hope it won't die!

@my space, what did they grow up on? Horlicks or something? Yeah, I remember eating it too. It was like chocolate for me! I guess it was because we didn't weren't allowed to have so much chocolates back then.

3 feet tall kadi patta plant is a good size! It should survive well. Maybe you should keep it indoors in harsh winters...

@ria, so far its fine. been only two days..so...

@deeply, thats what we are trying to figure out. if it needs to be brought in then we'll have to get a big pot for it, otherwise in the ground it goes.

@hobo, mann ki shakti, tann ki shakti, BOURNVITA. That was the ad in my days, wonder what its now!

@trooper, Plain milk? doesn't it taste yucky?
