Changing seasons...

I LOVE the time of year when one season changes into the next.
April...when spring is in the air.
And September...beginning of Fall and all the festivities that follow.

I can feel a crispness in the air these days, autumn is just around the corner! I can't even begin to explain HOW much I enjoy this season. The colors are just beautiful, and it is the beginning of the holidays. Am waiting for Navratri, Diwali, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year...

Maybe I will carve a pumpkin this year, and draw some rangoli too (mom sent me the colors a LOT of years ago, I gotta use them!).

Yippee :) I find myself looking at the trees hoping to see some yellow and orange and red. I hope to go on a "Fall Color Tour" somewhere this year...keeping my fingers crossed.

Ahhh... so much to look forward to!

(Just rambling...my happiness is spilling over I guess. Please ignore if it seems too silly ;)

@kanan, there is this place called plumas county that always features in via magazine. Never been, but want to :) Maybe you and I can go ;-)
I used to go on color tours every year when I lived in the midwest..that's where my fascination with it started. and one year we went to Niagara Falls. Amazing!!! Give me your email address, will send you pics if you want to see.

@Tanu, oh yeah, I hate the winter rains (snow for you I guess!) and the scorching summer heat (worse in Utah?), but spring and fall is worth it all :)

Hmm Plumas county I've never heard of. Via has awesome stuff. I think their last one had the listing of best locations in the country for Fall photography. I still need to read it though.

sadly there's nothin like this to look forward to in a place like Mumbai. :(

aneri_masi said...

@cess, I think I will admire Ireland just on the pictures then, can't take rain :( Especially the cold kind. Indian monsoons I like (at least in the beginning!)

@anin, hey you! Long time! How you been? Oh yeah! Holidays, celebrations, parties, meeting friends and family, getting all dressed up! Life sounds gooood, eh?

@ria, but festivals and reasons to celebrate are there, right :)

Bahaaaaaaa! Fall colors!!!!!! I miss them sooooooooooo much. Frikkin Texas is soooooooooo boringly brown and green.

aneri_masi said...

@mia, oye, rangoli is in the front.
With "lakshmiji"'s feet heading in the door...(that's what I was taught!). saamne banegi. Only problem is it gets VERY windy here, so hoping it will not get ruined!

@sol, you hated OH, right? So TX must be better?
I like green too. Anything other than the dry gold we have right now (which is also quite beautiful actually) will be welcome to me :)

oops thanks for correcting me heheh

Now in India, Rangoli stickers are also available, just stick them outside:) so much for the instant ideaa:) but they are good one.

we saw very good fall colors last yr in Cherry hill, and on the drive from Cherry hill to New york , amazing blend of colors.yellow, magents, orange and red:)
BTW I am blogrolling u:)

aneri_masi said...

@renu, thanks for blogrolling!
This is one time in the year that I wish I was in a colder place and could see the colors. But its still good, i can drive a few hours to where the colors are.

Sticker rangoli? nononononoononono! half the fun is in designing it, the other half in drawing, and then doing it all over again :)
