Very sound rules which apply to everyone!

  • - Parents
  • - Employers
  • - Employees
  • - Politicians
  • - Civilians
  • - Rich
  • - Poor
  • - Everyone!

psst...although Abe is referring to men and brotherhoods only, its for the gals too ;P

Now I know once again why I admire him so much. It is relevant here in India too.

Love that last line. Heck, I love all of it !
If only he had lived in India, we would've had this quote framed and put up in every govt. office. Then what would the politicos, and everyone else who profits by playing one against the other, have done !

@prashant, itni saari sahi baatein ek saath bol dee :)

@mia, thanks!

@renuDi, yes, those are some very good rules

@tanu, am addicted to StumbleUpon these days. I literally stumbled upon it!

@xh, not just the reservation thing, ALL of what Abe says seems applicable to India these days :(

@sourish, yep!

aneri_masi said...

@hitch, totally!

@ihm, yep, its applicable just about everywhere!

@sunita, he needs to be there NOW. Gandhi was just as good as him in giving such advice, all that poor soul is doing now is hanging on walls!

This is exactly what we need to make this world a beautiful place.........

Liked your blog....good for you to talk talk and talk.... as your talking makes sense...unlike others!

Came here after reading your comment on MM blog on that magazine waala post.... wanted to write my views there but then going by the past decided against doing that.

so true...esp the last one...often people think that helping a person means doing what they should actually be doing...

agreed with Reveda...if all could understand what lincoln said, the world would be a much more peaceful place!!

@ria, thanks dear :)

@reveda, thanks for your sweet words. And I know exactly what you mean by not wanting to comment there. But darne ka nahi. Its ok, say what you need to say over there too :)
BTW, your baby is absolutely precious :)

@deeply, yes. Some how I feel it applies more to parents than to anyone else. Lot of folks try to GIVE the world to their kids instead of teaching them how to GET it themselves!

@lakshmi, yes, simple rules, but very difficult to follow.

Abe has always been a almost perfect leader. And Abe Rocks :)

@t&d, no problem. Me sorry too that I jumped so soon to a silly conclusion :) And am so glad you liked it here

@chirag, I don't know a lot about Abe and his policies. This is kind of inspiring me to dig around and find out more about him

And I agree! Well said, Lincoln!
